ARCHITECTURAL POWDER COATING

Powder coating can be applied using either thermoplastic or thermoset polymers, and it is widely recognised for producing a durable finish that surpasses the toughness of conventional paint. Once applied, the powder is cured under heat, allowing it to flow and form a protective "skin."

Before applying the powder coating, the part is thoroughly cleaned, either chemically or mechanically, to remove dirt, oils, old finishes, and oxidation.

At Spray Shop, we employ various cleaning methods tailored to the specific requirements of the part, such as size, material, and cleanliness. Given our extensive experience with metal finishes, we have a full range of cleaning techniques at our disposal. For ferrous or iron-based materials, we typically use a phosphate coating followed by quick drying in the oven. For aluminium, we utilise a combination of etching, degreasing, and chromate conversion processes to ensure optimal surface preparation.

With our state of the art oven, we are able to powder coat lengths up to 6m.
